The close-range wave is still one of my favorites in China. Students will stand a few feet from you and wave frantically to you or to each other if they are excited to see someone. In America we highly underuse the wave. It could be so much more!

Telling Stories: I don't do it much anymore. I guess in a way China has become normal for me. I still think that things are strange but it's just expected now. Perhaps I figure that I've said it before and I feel like I'm repeating myself when I talk about things here but I live in a different world than you.
