Down on the Corner, Out in the Street

It's everywhere you go. Since 1940 there hasn't been as much rain as we've had in Nanchang this year. It rained for 19 days straight! Yesterday we had a day without rain and it made everybody feel like it was clear and sunny. The basketball and soccer courts were full of students. This is a beautiful day!

I played tennis with a recently retired teacher and he told me that there will be a Jiangxi tennis tournament next weekend. I'll take anything. Organized sports just don't exist below the professional level.

I had some students over with Michael the other night. They are in my American History and Culture class which has been fun to teach. They cooked and then we played Dutch Blitz which continues to be a hit.

My brother, Barak, called while we were cooking so I let them talk to him which they really enjoyed. I think he's getting pretty good at understanding and speaking at a slow enough pace. They all seemed to do pretty well and they were enthralled with the idea that he was DRIVING to work.
