For China's 60th Anniversary all the foreign teachers in Nanchang were invited to a dinner down at one of the most prestigious hotels in the city. Here I am with Michael and our good friend, and sports enthusiast, who was in charge of the event. He works in the regional foreign affairs department for the provincial government.

After we had dinner we went to the new campus of the most prestigious university in Nanchang (and Jiangxi), Nanchang University and watched a show where we and the Governor of Jiangxi were the honored guests.
We arrived and the entire auditorium was full except for our reserved seats. When we walked into the auditorium everybody began clapping for us. The opening act was an ensemble of classical Chinese instruments. I have never seen people play so fast yet so nonchalantly in my life.

The show was complete with a magic show,

...acrobatics,

...a piano concerto

...a duet,

...and an orchestra. All of the performances were very impressively done.

Looks impressive and exciting. My friend went to China for a diplomatic exchange program and said they were treated like royalty.
